An empty park in the middle of the night. Inside a parked car, a young and an older man just had sex. They talk about their sexual preferences, until one of them shares something surprising to the other.

 

Un parc vide au milieu de la nuit. A l’intérieur d’une voiture garée, un jeune homme et un homme plus âgé viennent de coucher ensemble. Ils parlent de leurs préférences sexuelles, jusqu’à ce que l’un des deux dévoile quelque chose de surprenant à l’autre.

 

Un parco vuoto nel mezzo della notte. All’interno di una macchina, un giovane e un uomo più anziano hanno appena fatto sesso. Parlano delle loro preferenze sessuali, finché uno di loro condivide qualcosa di sorprendente all’altro.

Rafael Valério was born in Brazil in 1988. 


Admirer of Fellini, Rohmer, Lars Von Trier, Almodóvar but also of Buffy the vampire slayer, Ally Mcbeal, Weeds and Six Feet Under, he began studying cinema in Sao Paulo.

 
He left for France in 2008, where he graduated in cinema university in Montpellier in 2012, then got a professional Master degree in cinema script writing and directing at the Sorbonne in 2015. Passionated by script writing and reading, he worked as intern then as a script reader and script doctor, first in festivals then in acquisitions and production. 


In 2015 he created a production collective with friends, with which he co-produced and co-directed the short film « J’ai vu l’amour », screened at the competition section of the Pantin Short Film Festival in 2016.


In the summer of 2016 and 2017, he participated in « Cinema da Mare », the biggest gathering of young filmmakers of the world, in Italy, where filmmakers are supposed to direct one new film per week, completely self-produced.

 

That's how in 2017 he met a group of talented Brazilian filmmakers, Leandro, Aline and Pedro, and a talented Italian actor, Stefano, which whom he made his first short film to be screened, CHOICE.
